Enste® Weight Covers

The Enste® weight covers are aids to the body experience, increase of the deep sensitivity by influence on sensors and muscles in the treatment of sensory integration disturbances and illnesses of the central nervous system. The weight cover for use in therapy and at home.

Heavy ceilings or weight ceilings were already used years ago in the so-called detention therapy u.a. in the treatment of persons with autistic symptoms. This is about the deeply sensitive (proprioceptive) feedback coupled with emotional attention.

Goals of the Enste® weight covers:

– Positive results can be observed in both cognitive and cerebral disabilities and disorders

– When applied by targeted stimulus to improve the processing and integration of sensory impressions and thus the planning and organization of adaptive behavior to be promoted

– For disorders of the central nervous system targeted relaxation on the skeletal musculature is aimed at through spasticity

– Nocturnal application of the weight cover is often a significantly improved sleep observed

In such and similar clinical pictures, the pressure on one’s own body leads to changes in the processing of stimuli and, as a result, often to a positive self-perception.

Weight loading and duration of treatment can thus affect sensitivity, stimulus processing and acceptance.

Construction of the Enste® weight ceilings:

Outer sheaths are available in either Suratec nylon nylon fabric (extremely durable) or cotton (under normal use) depending on your needs. All outer covers complete with zippers to remove the weight pockets. Paired weight bags, consisting of foam-laminated polyamide fabric, filled with 100% round glass beads from 1 to 1.3 mm Ø. The foam lamination of the bags is used for padding, as well as for noise reduction of the granules filled with it.

Safety instructions when using the Enste® weight covers:

The Enste® weight blankets should not be used by children and disabled persons without supervision. The correct use of a weight blanket requires a thorough understanding and careful training to prevent the user from getting into an uncontrollable dangerous situation. A weight blanket may e.g. Too heavy for a person to suffocate because of the weight of the blanket, or to obstruct the airway when a person gets under the weight blanket and can not free himself or herself.

Cleaning the Enste® weight covers:

To wash the outer shell, the weight bags must be removed from the outer shell by means of a zipper because of their weight (imbalance in the washing machine).

– Suratec nylon fabric: washable, disinfectable and washable up to 60 degrees

– Cotton washable up to 60 degrees

All covers dryer suitable for low temperature setting. If the weight bags are to be washed we recommend hand washing in lukewarm clear water.

– Material: Suratec polyamide nylon fabric or cotton
– Filling: Round glass balls with a diameter of 1 to 1,3 mm
– The weight bags should be washed by hand.

– All outer sleeves are equipped with zippers for removing the weight bags
– Washable up to 60°
– The foam lamination of the bags is used for padding and noise insulation.

Die Enste® weight blanket must not be used without supervision by children and persons with reduced mobility. The correct usage of the blanket requires an exact understanding and a careful training, in order to exclude the possibility that the user may end up in a dangerous situation which is uncontrollable for him. A weight blanket can for example be to heavy for someone so that there is a danger of suffocation due to the weight of the blanket, or it can lead to an obstruction of the respiratory tracts , if a person gets under the weight blanket and cannot free himself independently.To wash the outer shell, the weight bags must be removed from it using a zipper (unbalance in the washing machine).
